Name and state the law which is used to determine the direction of the force on a current-carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field.

Solution:

Fleming’s left-hand rule is the law which is used to determine the direction of the force.
According to this law, your left hand’s forefinger, middle finger, and thumb should all be perpendicular to each other. The thumb will indicate the direction of motion of the conductor if the forefinger shows the direction of the magnetic field and the center finger indicates the flow of current.
