What is emasculation? Why and when is it done?

Solution:  Emasculation is the process of removing the male portion of a bisexual flower, the anther. The male reproductive component (stamens) of a flower, usually a bisexual flower, is removed during emasculation. This is done in order to make the flower entirely female. It’s done before the blossoms reach their full potential. It is done to ensure that plants do not self-pollinate and that only cross-pollination happens.
