a)Electricity is produced by electromagnetism, which is referred to as electromagnetic induction.

The wire AB should be moved upwards between the poles of the horseshoe magnet so that it is parallel to the ground. When the wire is moved, there is a corresponding deflection in the galvanometer. Because of this deflection, it can be determined that current is being generated in wire AB. When the wire moves through a magnetic field, an electric current is generated as a result.

a) Electric Generator:

A generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy for use in an external circuit. An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, hence motors and generators are quite similar.

c) The following are the several methods of introducing current into the wire:

i) By adjusting the coil’s position in relation to the fixed magnet

ii) By adjusting the magnet’s position in relation to the fixed coil
