UP Board Physics Class 9 syllabus
UP Board Physics Class 9 syllabus

Class 9 is an important year for many students and the one subject which can help you score better in science. The theory of Science holds importance not only academically but also in our daily lives like leisure activities, transportation, energy, food, Etc. Science is the branch of study that is practically applicable in our daily lives, which a student can easily relate to. Science helps in developing the critical thinking, problem-solving skills of a student. But in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic, where schools are closed and everyone is advised to maintain social distancing, online learning sessions are taking place.

Students have to study from the resources that are available online and prepare for their exams. To be able to score better in the exams, one needs to be aware of the syllabus and study accordingly. Thus, to reduce the pressure on the students during these tough situations, the UP board has decided to reduce the syllabus by 30% for class 9 physics subjects. Following gives detailed information about the syllabus of the class 9 science subject to help the students perform better.

Class 9 UP Board physics syllabus

The following table gives the summary of the physics syllabus for class 9 declared by the UP board for the academic year 2021:

Practicals and Project work of UP Board Class 9 Physics

This unit is alloted 30 marks in total, which is further divided into two sections: Practicals and project work.

Practicals are conducted at the school level which has a weightage of 15 marks and the distribution for practicals is alloted as follows:

Three experiments – 9 marks (3 x 3)

Viva – 3 marks

Sessional – 3 marks

Total – 15 marks

The project work also has a weightage of 15 marks. A student has to select a project from the given list of projects and prepare the project as well as the project file. A student has to prepare project work and the project file for each of the sections: Chemistry, Biology, Physics. The project work will be evaluated at the school level.

Conclusion

The above information of the class 9 physics syllabus will be beneficial for students who wish to score better marks in the exam. The UP board has also reduced the syllabus due to the Covid-19 situation.
