(b) According to the diagram,

AB is 1m ; AF is 0.4 m and BF is 0.6 m

Expression for Mechanical advantage is

M.A = BF / AF = 0.6 / 0.4

Therefore, M.A. = 1.5

(c) Load here is 15 kgf

Using the expression of mechanical advantage, we can write an expression for effort as –

Effort = Load / M.A = 15 / 1.5

Effort = 10 kgf
