The prism’s deviation is determined by the four elements listed below.
(i) Angle of Incidence – As the angle of incidence increases, the angle of incidence increases first.

(ii)The prism’s substance (in terms of refractive index) – The prism with a higher refractive index creates a bigger deviation for a given angle of incidence than the prism with a lower refractive index.
(iii)Angle of prism- As the angle of the prism grows, so does the angle of deviation.
(iv)The colour or wavelength of light employed – As the wavelength of light decreases, the angle of deviation increases.
