The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education conducts the HSC and SSC examination every year for the students in Maharashtra under nine divisional boards situated at Pune, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Nasik, Latur, Amravati, Ratnagiri, and Nagpur.

The remaining 20 marks of the Mathematics 10 class exam get awarded through practical examination. The board had informed that the practicals for mathematics would get conducted at the school level. Before 2018, the schools provided assignments and projects.
