Does the human eye partially lose its ability of accommodation when it undergoes short-sightedness (myopia) or long-sightedness (hypermetropia)? If not, what might cause these defects of vision?

Answer –

Eye-lenses are utilised when a person suffers from myopia or hypermetropia. Myopia is a condition in which the eyeballs gradually lengthen from front to rear. When the eyeballs start to shorten, this is known as hypermetropia. Presbyopia is a condition in which the eyeballs’ capacity to accommodate is lost.
