A bag contains $4$ red, $5$ black and $6$ white balls. A ball is drawn from the bag at random. Find the probability that the ball drawn is: (i) White (ii) Red

Given that A bag contains $4$ red, $5$ black and 6white balls and a ball is drawn at random

to Find: Probability of getting a

(i) white ball

(ii) red ball

(iii) not black ball

(iv) red or white

So, Total number of balls $4+5+6=15$

(i) Total number of white balls in the bag is $6$

We know that the Probability = Number of favorable outcomes/ Total number of outcomes

Therefore, the probability of drawing white a ball $=6/15=2/5$

(ii) Total number of red balls in the bag is $4$

We know that the Probability = Number of favorable outcomes/ Total number of outcomes

So, the probability of drawing red a ball $=4/15$
