CBSE class 12 examination

Multiple-choice questions

There would be four choices, out of which one is correct. The student should read all the choices and select the right one.

Fill in the blanks

There will be single answers to these questions, which do not carry any negative marks. So the student must attempt these types of questions. If a student has read the text at least once, these questions can get tackled easily.

Short Answers

These types of questions test the student’s ability to recall definitions, the meaning of terms. Keywords of definitions must get written and underlined to gain marks. The valuation is done based on a few points. For eg: for a 2 mark question, the student is required to write 4 to 6 points. Assertion and Reason check your ability to verify the data given based on their validity.

Long Answers

These descriptive questions are an extended version of short format answers as it requires the students to write in-depth answers. Do not forget to draw the structure of organic compounds, reaction mechanisms, and electronic configuration if any get asked, and also give the name of compounds correctly.

Practical Examination

First, complete your records and projects neatly and timely. The record of the experiments and activities gives five(5) marks. Be sure to read the whole record and remember all procedures as the same would get asked in Viva, which will fetch you five(5) marks.

JEE and NEET

Both the exams follow an objective type of questions. Note in mind that each wrong answer carries one(1) negative mark. So if the student does not know an answer to a question it is the advice they should not attempt the question rather than taking a gamble on answering it, which has the effect of losing five(5) marks
