Electrical wires have a coating of an insulating material. The material, generally used is

Answer: (c) PVC

Reason: Insulators are materials that do not allow electrical energy to flow. Therefore, insulators are used to cover electrical wires to avoid serious accidents. PVC is an abbreviated form of polyvinyl chloride. Electrical features of PVC such as electrical protection structures or dielectric constant are very good and therefore, are used as protective materials. Graphite is a good conductor so it will not be used to protect electrical wiring. Sulfur also has protective properties but cannot be used to block power lines due to its nature.
