Solution:
Air is a rarer medium than water. Water has a refractive index of 1.33 and is denser. As a result, a ray of light that goes from air to water (i.e. from rarer to denser) bends towards the normal.
A light ray suffers reflection and refraction at the boundary in passing from air to water. Draw a neat labelled diagram to show it.
