An electric short circuit can occur

1. When too many appliances are connected to a single socket, the circuit’s resistance decreases. It causes the current flowing through it to increase dramatically. A short-circuit occurs as a result of this circumstance.
2. When live wires with worn insulation come into contact with one another. Due to this, the current flowing in the circuit abruptly increases, resulting in a short circuit.
